The term ‘Gaelic Sports’ is a relatively generic one and the game’s governing body covers six disciplines under its umbrella. In regards to betting markets however, the focus falls on Gaelic Football and Hurling.
These are games which traditionally originate from the Republic of Ireland where they remain extremely popular to this day. Gaelic Football’s main competition is the All Ireland Senior Football Championship where 32 teams battle for the big prize across a long season.
In hurling, we have a similar set up where the major tournament is simply referred to as the All Ireland Championship. Here, there are 12 teams who initially play in Provincial Championships and the best performing sides from those tournaments will progress and compete for the outright trophy.
Gaelic Sports are played outside of Ireland but this is where the main focus lies for professional athletes. It’s also the focal point for the betting community but what markets are available?
The full list of available betting options may depend on the sport in question but Gaelic Football and Hurling will both have outright picks listed for their respective leagues. These will be published in advance of each season and our customers can take time to assess the teams before placing an ante post wager.
Match betting is, naturally, in place for all games across the GAA seasons and, for bigger fixtures, there will be handicaps in place too. The list of prop bets may vary but both Gaelic Football and Hurling will have side markets to consider such as Total Points. Like all events, Gaelic Sports will also enjoy comprehensive coverage in our live sportsbook where in-play markets are open once the matches begin. In all cases, excellent odds complete an impressive package for anyone looking to place a bet.
