It’s an Eredivisie double-header this week as Dutch betting fans get ready for twice as many games.
Round 29 of the Eredivisie kicks off on Tuesday with two matches being played, before the rest of the league face off on Wednesday. Then, with a quick turnaround the teams are out in force again the for regular weekend fixtures.
Let’s take a look at the biggest matches over the coming week and where the best Dutch betting tips are.
Eredivisie Midweek Betting
Ajax v AZ: Lancieri 1.32 to win
Ajax are back in the title race after beating Feyenoord 2-1 at home on Sunday. The Lancieri are now just three points off the league leaders and should claim a win here against AZ. These sides drew 2-2 in Alkmaar earlier this season but Ajax have kicked on since then, especially in their defence. Ajax have scored exactly four goals in two of their last three home meetings with AZ and are 14.00 to win 4-0 on this match being streamed on Unibet TV.
Twente v Eindhoven: Away win
Eindhoven are also hoping to stage a late challenge for the Eredivisie title and head into this clash having won 10 of their last 11 league games. In fact, they have not lost in the Eredivisie since a reversal against leaders Feyenoord back in September. Eindhoven have kept three clean sheets from their last four games and are 3.30 to win without conceding.
Eredivisie Weekend Betting
Zwolle v Feyenoord: Goals, goals, goals!
Assuming all three teams at the top of the Eredivisie win in midweek then Feyenoord will still have their three-point advantage over Ajax when they head to Zwolle. And this could be a heavy away win for the league leaders. Feyenoord have only the league to focus on now and will want a reaction from last weekend’s defeat. Amazingly, Zwolle have beaten Feyenoord in each of their last four home meetings with the Rotterdam club.
But Feyenoord are a changed team this season and beat Zwolle 3-0 in De Kuip back in November. Expect a similar scoreline, with Feyenoord 1.35 to win.
Sparta v Excelsior: Both teams to score
These sides have historically enjoyed exciting fixtures when they have met in the Dutch top flight. Football betting fans were surprised to see a 3-2 Excelsior win when they met back in November. Both teams have scored in four of their last five Eredivisie encounters. And while neither side is scoring particularly highly at the moment, they are leaking goals.
Sparta have conceded eight in three games (before the midweek clash with Heerenveen), while Excelsior have not kept a clean sheet since August. Expect both teams to score here — and if you’re backing a winner then Sparta is the smart bet at 1.75.
