Our Punter of the Week is MD, from Victoria, who walked away with more than $3,300 after a straightforward greyhound multi on Tuesday evening.
Kicking things off at Cranbourne, the monstrous Zipping Archie ($1.36) was able to come from fourth place down the back straight to overrun the leading division in Race 4 and get our punter’s bet up and running.
Then it was off to Lismore where Big Bad Bob ($1.50), wearing the white rug, was able to improve his record at the venue to an impressive four wins from just six starts with an all-the-way success in Race 5.
Over in Perth, King Tony ($1.32) showed worthy early dash to set up a race-winning break in Race 4 at Mandurah and keep our punter’s bet on track.
Heading back to Lismore, MD hardly had to raise a sweat as Senor Izmir ($1.50) trounced his rivals in Race 10, the event shot to bits inside the opening 150m as he also showed commendable early speed from an outside draw.
It was left to Licorice Shot ($1.55) to complete a sweet result for our client, the Rhonda-Essery trained dog surviving a spirited challenge from Road Monster to land Race 9 at Townsville and complete the bet.
At combined odds of 6.26, and with five short-priced favourites in his corner, our punter’s $532 investment had suddenly morphed into $3,331 and gave him plenty of ammunition for Championships Day One at Randwick.
Nice work MD!
