Players

Every European championship, new stars emerge and make their way on the map, hoping to make an impact on the tournament in ways which will positively affect their career. This year, Euro Football 2016 has an extra eight teams competing for international glory, which means that more stars will be looking to leave their mark in France this summer.

The Usual Suspects

As always, there are a few players that never step out of football stardom and they keep making a huge individual impact on any match they’re playing, like Cristiano Ronaldo or Andres Iniesta. Top players have the ability to dramatically change the game by a special moment of brilliance and with that in mind, betting on top team goal scorer would make it a smart betting option.

Ready to make an impact

Football Generic

We often overlook playmakers and tend to focus heavily on strikers, but very few strikers are capable of producing magic without the need of their teammates. In Euro 2012, Mesut Ozil finished with the most assists, along with Andrey Arshavin, Steven Gerrard and David Silva. All these players have had eventful European Championships in the past and younger players who share the same flare are earmarked to make a huge impact, if they can handle the pressure. Making an impact isn’t an easy feat, as players are only guaranteed to play 270 minutes, if they play all the matches and are not subbed or injured.

New Players on the Block

This is their time to shine! Managers will be choosing their squads wisely for Euro Football 2016, creating the perfect balance between experienced players and young guns ready to show what they’re worth this summer. Danny Drinkwater has been instrumental to Leicester’s unexpected title race this season and could very well be included in the England squad. Another player who can pose a threat from the left back is Danny Rose of Tottenham, who’s looking for his big break in an international tournament. Roy Hodgson has a lot to ponder over the international break as the England squad gets more diverse with its qualities, making it harder to choose the final 18 players who will hope to keep their unbeaten run well into the European Championship finals.
