“My last year will be played with my son.”
– LeBron James
NINE words from NBA’s king LeBron James has sent the NBA into a tailspin.
When discussing the potential end to his NBA career, the King defiantly told The Athletic his last year in the league would be played with his 17-year-old teenage son, Bronny James, who is currently playing in high school for Sierra Canyon School in Los Angeles.
“My last year will be played with my son,’’ LeBron told The Athletic.
“Wherever Bronny’s at, that’s where I will be.
“I would do whatever it takes to play with my son for one year.”

NBA fans are already salivating at the prospect of the NBA’s king holding court with his son, the prince in waiting, Bronny James, who is quickly carving a distinguished reputation of his own in high school.
A father and son duo dominating the NBA landscape would be a sight to behold and that could all come to fruition if LeBron and Bronny play alongside each other.
The LA Lakers veteran is currently 37-years-old while his eldest son Bronny is 17-years-old.
LeBron will be 39 by the time Bronny becomes eligible but when he does, any NBA team which picks up Bronny could get two for the price of one with LeBron declaring his desire to play with his son.
Money too won’t be any issue for any NBA club acquiring LeBron with the Lakers veteran stating he’d happily play on a reduced salary if it meant being able to play with Bronny.
“It’s not about the money at that point,’’ LeBron told The Athletic.

How good is Bronny James?
Bronny is a 1.91cm point guard or shooting guard who is currently playing for the Sierra Canyon School Trailblazers.
Adept at both backcourt positions, Bronny possesses a high degree of vision and game sense as well as being an excellent passer and shooter.
Like his father, he also has the athleticism to land thunderous dunks along with fadeaway jump shots which we've become accustomed to seeing from LeBron.
His skillset is well-equipped for the NBA and according to experts, he’s a second-round and potential first-round pick in the NBA Draft.
Under the current rules, Bronny would be eligible for the NBA Draft in 2024.

Where will LeBron and Bronny play together?
So, the question on everyone’s lips is where will the King and his prince play if they elect to play together in the NBA?
LeBron is currently with the LA Lakers but his lucrative multi-million contract with the Lakers expires next season.
That means he will be a free agent heading into the 2023-24 season which opens the door for the King to rule the NBA from wherever Bronny may land.
Talking to The Athletic, LeBron hinted that a potential return to Cleveland where he guided the Cavaliers to an NBA Championship in 2016, is on the cards especially if Bronny is drafted by the Cavs.
“The door’s not closed on [a return to the Cavaliers],” LeBron told The Athletic.
“I’m not saying I’m coming back and playing, I don’t know.
“I don’t know what my future holds.
“I don’t even know when I’m free.”
