Wednesday racing is back at Sandown this week with an 8-race card to take place on the Hillside course.
The track is rated a Good4 but overcast conditions are expected which means we could see a possible downgrade of the track come raceday.
Rail is out 8m the entire circuit which could make it hard to run on but we need to monitor and watch the earlier races to decipher a pattern.
BEST BET – Race 8 – 8 Meteorite (4.80)
Very fast horse when right who built on his record last campaign with a dazzling win at The Valley over 955m.
He started favourite at his past three starts in arguably harder races than this, so I'd expect he will shorten in betting.
His Jump Out leading into this was very good and feel with the claim for Josh Richards, he's in well at the weights.
The McEvoy team is flying at the minute, so expect this horse to be ready to rock 'n' roll fresh.

Undefeated this mare and she just keeps progressing with each start.
Loved the win fresh at Pakenham over 1400m when she simply monstered her rivals when winning comfortably.
Step up to 1600m looks ideal and outside of La Chevalee this race really lacks depth.
Feel she probably drifts late like last start given La Chevalee is here and that should mean we get even money which is more than fair price for this mare.

VALUE – Race 4 – 5 Big Brew (20.00)
Didn't do a lot fresh at Ballarat but that is usual for this horse when first up.
Craig Williams going aboard and his 2nd up record being 3 starts 2 wins suggests he can improve drastically here in a race that looks very open if Nikau Spur doesn't bounce back to winning form.
At his best he could win a race of this calibre and wouldn't be 20-1 in the market.
Mark Kavanagh is in-form with a winner at Flemington last Saturday, so it's worth seeing if any money comes for this horse as he could be a big improver.
