Saturday's racing heads to Caulfield for 9 races on a rain affected track.
In a great win for fans, owners and members Caulfield will be welcoming 5,000 people on course which is terrific for those who have missed attending the races for the past 4 weeks due to Coronavirus restrictions.
The card looks that of a standard winter Saturday but there is some talented runners engaged including Jigsaw (1.95) in Race 1 and I'm Thunderstruck (1.90) in Race 5.
The rail is out 12m for the entire circuit which may lend itself to on pace runners.
Exciting filly Written Miss remains unbeaten, scoring impressively @PakenhamRacing for Caroline Jennings, defeating @AldersonRacing's debut runner Veranskova – both daughters of #WrittenTycoon.@inglis_sales @Racing @ArrowfieldStud @rs_bloodstock @anz_news @TDNAusNZ @vicbreeders pic.twitter.com/hZrbE7w9rA

BEST BET – Race 2 – 6 Veranskova (2.70) (in above tweet)
Loved what this filly did on debut at Pakenham and then she followed it up with a win in good time at Sale.
She will improve on that performance here with race fitness and feel the wet track will help her chances.
Outside of her thought this race was fairly even but feel she is the class runner here and deserves to be clear favourite and the one to beat.

NEXT BEST – Race 5 – 6 I'm Thuderstruck (1.90) (in above tweet)
In his three starts to date I'm Thunderstruck has shown he's got above average talent and that if he continues to progress/mature he could be a serious racehorse.
His Jump Outs leading into his first up run this time in were brilliant and then his win fresh at Sale was outstanding when annihilating the opposition.
He draws for a gun run here from Barrier 5 and feel he is the clear best horse in this race with the most in form jockey on top in Mark Zahra.
Anything above 1.70 looks a fair bet.
The first event at Sandown mapped perfectly for Peggy Selene. @BMelham @cmaherracing @MelbRacingClub pic.twitter.com/Bi2WnXnJSE

VALUE – Race 3 – 5 Peggy Selene (12.00) (in above tweet)
Liked the first two runs back from this filly against the older horses.
The first run back was rock solid when only beaten 1.75 lengths by Zipping Boy who has won in open class since and then last start she was a close up 3rd behind speedsters Meteorite and Elite Legacy and that looks a great formline for this.
She drops from carrying 58kgs last start to 52kgs after Maddi Lloyd's claim and that weight swing has proven profitable over recent months with apprentices on in metro grade.
She loves 1000m and handles the wet so looks a solid 1×3 play in a race full of query runners.
Good luck punters!
