Perennial Test cricket strugglers Bangladesh have been savaged for a mammoth capitulation against South Africa which saw them bowled out for a minuscule 53 in an embarrassing Test defeat.
The Tigers’ modest second innings effort is their second lowest score in Test history with one news site summing it up perfectly with the headline “Bangladesh Test side bowled out for less than Steve Smith’s batting average.”
Some Bangladesh fans however were more unimpressed with the umpiring than the Tigers’ batting capitulation, with many taking to social media to vent their frustration at the umpiring.

2 – Football – Benzema’s Champions League goal-scoring spree

Real Madrid took a funny take on Karim Benzema’s goal-scoring blitz in the Champions League which has seen him bag 6 goals in his last 119 minutes of Champions League play.
Tweeting a photo of a phone and the prolific-scoring Frenchman, Real Madrid tweeted: “For all your goal & assist needs.”
Benzema was at his damaging best in last week’s Champions League fixture at Stamford Bridge, collecting a hat-trick against Chelsea and becoming just the sixth player to score a hat-trick in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

1 – Racing – Emma Freedman pumped up at the races

Day 2 of The Championships delivered a smorgasboard of top shelf racing at Randwick on Saturday and racing commentator Emma Freedman was certainly excited about it!
And she had good reason to be excited with Saturday’s loaded card of Group 1 racing culminating with the prestigious Queen Elizabeth Stakes which was famously won by champion mare Winx in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

1 – Football – Premier League title race heats up

Liverpool remain in the hunt for the Premier League title after a crucial 2-2 draw with leaders Manchester City.
The draw keeps Liverpool just one point adrift of the Premier League leaders but it could have been a different story with City star Riyad Mahrez missing a huge chance to give City a last gasp win and much-needed breathing space ahead of the chasing Reds.
Kevin De Bruyne and Gabriel Jesus netted goals for City while Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane scored a goal apiece for Liverpool.

3  – Rugby League – Roosters’ NRL comeback, women’s NRLW Premiership

A huge weekend for the Roosters club with the women capturing the NRLW Premiership while in the NRL, Trent Robinson’s men snatched victory from the jaws of defeat against the Brisbane Broncos.
The Tricolours trailed 10-0 at halftime before staging a late fightback in the second half with five-eighth Sam Walker nailing a crucial sideline conversion and playing a leading hand in the decisive match-winning try for Sitili Tupouniua.

Rawiller's peach of a ride in Saturday’s feature saw him deviate to the outside fence before running down All-Star Mile champion Zaaki with Jamie Kah aboard, to salute in the $4 million race.
