Race 4
Vinery Hcp, 1000m

Handy midweek race here with some very talented 4YOs resuming.
California Zimbol (3.40) (pictured above and in below tweet) was a hugely impressive winner of the Thoroughbred Club Stakes at Caulfield during the last spring carnival and later touted as a potential Group 1 horse by Peter Snowden after claiming the Darby Munro earlier this year.
She’s come through a couple of trials in decent order and should give this a shake with Kerrin McEvoy aboard.

Villami (2.70) showed plenty of dash when defeating Cosmic Force and California Zimbol in the Fireball at Rosehill first-up during the autumn and finished within half a length of Libertini and Loving Gaby in Group races over 1200m 12 months ago.
She’s blessed with plenty of speed and has also trialled well in the lead-up to this while the third of the trio, Pandemic (2.70) may have the highest ceiling of all having broken the Kensington 1100m track record at just his second race start.
Unibet punters can get on board with odds of 4.00 available for Pandemic to Win via our Price Push.

Tactical Advantage (13.00) drops down to a more manageable 60kgs with Louise Day’s claim and should find this a bit more to his liking having not really figured in The Shorts last start.

My Tip: California Zimbol (3.40)

Race 5
Sky Racing Active Hcp (BM72), 1600m

Godolphin mare Night Witches (2.50) should appreciate getting out to a mile having run on into the placings at her two runs this preparation, most recently here three weeks back where she lost out to the useful Joviality over 1400m.
The smallish field suits and look for her to be finishing strongly.
Rock Amore (5.50) lost no admirers with a game effort when second to Kirwan’s Lane at Canterbury last time out having had to do a fair bit of work in the early stages to cross and lead.
His only win to date was around this circuit and could prove difficult to overhaul with an easier run.
Royal Marine (8.00) had the better of Rock Amore when they met around here recently to stretch his winning streak to three.
Every reason to think he can figure prominently again at what will be his first attempt beyond 1400m while the other Waller runner, Jack The Lad (4.80), did well to overhaul Much Much Better and break his maiden tag at the corresponding meeting.
Still got a bit to learn but looks to have ability and has been kept well in hand in the market.

My Tip: Night Witches (2.50)
