Leicester City are on top of the Premier League ladder and it’s evoking optimism from Foxes fans of a repeat of their fairytale Premier League triumph in 2015/16.
Football expert and former Premier League star Craig Moore looks into the similarities between the 2015/2016 and 2020 teams.

Early days for sure with two games played and it is fair to say stronger games will follow.
Leicester are a team that understand their qualities and I think that is very important.
Defensively they don’t try to complicate things, they try and provide a good base for the attacking players to go get the goals.
High tempo and very fit team required to play under Brendan Rodgers.

One similarity between this season’s team and the 2015/16 team is that man Jamie Vardy.
He is still here and not looking at slowing down anytime soon.
The Foxes have some nice midfield players like Youri Tielemans and James Maddison (in below tweet) who are looking to emulate N’Golo Kante and Danny Drinkwater and Harvey Barnes is showing some real quality as did Mahrez in 2015/2016.

Staying solid and hard to beat and having goals is always important and Leicester are now a very reliable team.
Are they good enough to edge the top 2-3 clubs, I am not so sure, but a good run and belief is where it started before, so let’s enjoy the journey.
Vardy is of huge importance to this team, not only for his goals but his willingness to lead from the front.
He has also gained fantastic experience now so is able to assist others and bring people into play.
A real pain for any defender and Leicester's success will count on keeping Vardy up and running.

Apart from Vardy, the two other players that have very good quality and do make a difference for Leicester are the Belgian Youri Tielemans and the young free-flowing Englishman, Harvey Barnes.
Very good players in the final 3rd that can make big contributions this season.

The only way you can be a success in this league is by being consistent with your performances, having a deep enough squad, a relatively good run with injuries and suspensions and some luck.
You get all of these and find the confidence, as we have seen when Leicester last won the league previously, greatness is possible.
I also think with the standard now being so high, you can’t lose any more than 5 games and finish at the top come season end.
The dream is again with many, who can come out on top?
