Our Punter of the Week is AD, from Canberra, who turned a $120 investment into a sizeable return after landing the trifecta in one of the Million Dollar Chase Heats (Race 6) at Wagga greyhounds on Thursday evening.

National Futurity winner Blue Sky Riot was sent out a prohibitive $1.18 favourite in Box 8 but couldn’t live with the early speed of Corleone King ($23), who set up a good lead passing the winning post first time around.

The locally-trained Myrniong Magic ($21) wasn’t to be denied though, and overwhelmed the leader nearing the line to claim a ninth career win as Blue Sky Riot raced in third position throughout in wet conditions.

With the final STAB dividend for the trifecta settling at a handy $822.90 given the upset result, our punter found himself $4,114.50 better off for his efforts.
