Our Punter of the Week is PC, from Victoria, who landed a treble on Sunday’s Underwood Stakes meeting at Caulfield.
Kicking things off in the Inglis Cup (Race 3) our punter watched on as Darren Weir’s Bondeiger came with a powerful run down the centre of the track to claim victory, one of five winners on the day for the country’s most prolific trainer.
Racing in good form up in Sydney, Trekking was sent out a firm favourite in the Testa Rossa Stakes (Race 5) and didn’t let our punter down, Kerrin McEvoy bullocking his way into open space at the top of the straight as his charge held off the challenge of Kemono.
Alive heading into the feature, PC saw Homesman overwhelm favourite Grunt upon straightening and show plenty of tenacity to stave off Tosen Basil and capture his first Group One.
