Our Punter of the Week is MG, from Queensland, who landed an exotic to remember at Beaudesert gallops last Thursday afternoon.

Placing a 25c box trifecta incorporating five runners (for a total outlay of $15) our punter watched on as rank outsider Bobby Axelrod ($151), who had finished last at the Gold Coast on debut on Melbourne Cup day, led from start to finish under Brooke Ainsworth in the 1100m sprint event.

With the unfancied Majaqua ($13) and Spirit’s First ($6.50) filling the minor slots the trifecta returned a whopping $9,848.10 on STAB, leaving our customer $2,462.03 better off for his troubles.
