Our Punter of the Week is VP, from Perth, who had an enormous collect after landing the First 4 in the Coolmore Stud Stakes on Saturday afternoon.

Opting for Kementari and Merchant Navy as his Win selections, our punter gave himself plenty of options by throwing in up to nine selections for each of the minor placings, applying a unit stake of 8c per combination for a total outlay of $35.
Still several lengths off the leaders at the clock tower, Mark Zahra drove Merchant Navy ($19) back along the rails to land the colt’s maiden Group 1. With Formality ($20) and Limestone ($61) included, the First 4 paid a whopping $223,750 on the NSW TAB with our punter returning $17,900 for his troubles.

This bet was certainly a prime example of how our decision to pay out on the Best Tote dividend for exotic bets on Group races over the carnival has been a fill-up for punters, as the bet would only have returned $7,780 under our standard Vic TAB dividend for exotic bets.
