Our Punter of the Week is TK, from Sydney, who turned a $10 outlay into a cool $2,700 after landing the First 4 in the fifth race at Randwick on Saturday, boxing his two preferred runners (Our Malambo and Oria) for first, and throwing in Bella Success and Seaglass amongst his eight different combinations for a total investment of $10 (unit stake $1.25).
TK, a regular exotics player, would have been delighted to see Our Malambo, now in the hands of Chris Waller after a successful stint of racing in New Zealand for legendary trainer Graeme Rogerson, edge through a gap between leader Bombarding and Mad for Art, the filly holding off the challenge of Oria to make a winning debut on Australian soil.
With Our Malambo starting at $18, and his other selections running on to finish 3rd and 4th, the final STAB dividend for the First 4 settled at a tasty $2159.20, leaving our punter $2,699 better off for his troubles and plenty of races left on which to reinvest.
