Serie A Betting – Match Day 5

September 19, 2016

It's the first time Roma have lost a Serie A match in 21 rounds and this happened on the same match day as Juve were stopped from their unbeaten run as they lost the Derby d’Italia against rivals Inter over the weekend. Betting on Serie A took a wicked twist as Napoli overcame Bologna to secure first place of Seria A with a one point cushion over Juve. It’s a busy week for Seria A players, as teams will be playing three matches in a period of seven days, as we look forward to the mid-week action. Form will dwindle and fatigue will come into play, which is a great opportunity to place a bet on Serie A, as the smaller teams would not have the quality of substitutes needed to keep up with the momentum.

Betting on Juve

Is this the start of Juve’s collapse of their winning ways? Probably not, but their recent stumble against Inter and their goalless draw against Sevilla in the Champions League will surely have an impact on their morale. The Bianconeri are the favourites as they face Cagliari in their next encounter, with odds currently at 1/7. Betting on goals would be more profitable, as odds for Juve to win the game with a three goal difference is currently at 7/6. Cagliari are still buzzing from that three nil win over Atalanta last weekend, and a £10 double chance bet on Cagliari will potentially return £56. A pretty interesting bet and at a time when Juve aren’t at their very best.

Betting on AC Milan

It’s been a couple of years since AC Milan were a force to be reckoned with in Serie A, but their recent take over gave much hope of investments and a whole team revolution. However, the Rossoneri are still not consistent, winning two of their first four games. Not sure who to back? Milan found the net six times in four games while Lazio bagged eight goals and odds for the game to finish in over 2.5 goals are at evens. Milan have a great price to win the game, with odds currently at 23/20. Lazio’s only defeat came against the champions Juve, who weren’t too convincing at the Stadio Olimpico. Lazio have a bad history against the Rossoneri but a win at San Siro will return a healthy profit, as odds are at 13/5 as they stand.

Betting on Inter

Inter players are flying high after their iconic win over the champions of Italy, and will now travel to Florence to face Empoli in their quest for their next three points. Inter are the favourites in their next clash and a bet on Inter to win the game could return a good profit, as odds are at 9/10. Mauro Icardi, Inter’s Argentinian striker is in red hot form, averaging a goal a game and scoring an incredible header against Juve over the weekend. Empoli’s start if the campaign wasn’t too impressive, securing just a single win in their four opening games. Inter are in a great position to bag another three points and a win over Empoli will make it three consecutive wins and a possible start of a transformation.
