Betting on Serie A – Weekend Preview
After winning five consecutive titles, Juve are showing no signs of slowing down as they won their first two opening matches. If anything, they strengthened the team by bringing in world class players such as Gonzalo Higuain and Danny Alves. Betting on Juve to win the league isn’t the most valuable bet to place, as odds are currently at 3/10. In just two match days, the Serie A has seen 64 goals, which is something to consider when betting on goals. We’ll take a closer look at the upcoming games and what information you should look out for when placing a bet on Serie A.
Serie A Betting
Both Roma and Napoli dropped a couple of points in their opening two games and this will surely have an impact on their title hopes. Consistency is the key to winning titles and if Napoli or Roma don’t step up to the challenge, Juve will run away with the league once again.
No major clashes are taking place this weekend but Roma will host Sampdoria, a team who’s coming from back to back wins but Roma have the advantage of playing at the Stadio Olimpico, an intimidating stadium for the visitors to say the least. Betting on Roma to win will potentially return £13.80 from a £10 bet but betting on over 2.5 goals is slightly better, with odds currently at 4/7.
Inter had a dismal start to their campaign, having only secured a single point from their two opening games. Frank de Boer’s men will be facing newly promoted Pescara away from home and are the clear favourites to win the game with odds at 8/11. Inter will be looking for their first win under their new manager but they will have to put in better performances than they did against Chievo and Palermo if they want to participate in Europe next season.
AC Milan haven’t been consistent for a couple of years but they are showing signs of progression by what we’ve seen in the opening games. They found the net five times in two games and both games finished in over 3.5 goals. Think it will be raining goals once again? A £10 bet on over 3.5 goals will potentially return £34.50 but a safer option when betting on goals would be betting on over 2.5 goals, which is currently at 19/20. Milan face Udinese away from home in their quest for their second victory of the season.
Defending champions Juve will host Sassuolo and as expected, they’re the clear favourites to win the encounter with odds currently at 9/25. Gonzalo Higuain is very much in Allegri’s plans, but his weight has hindered him from the starting line-up, a problem the Argentine has been working hard on. Betting on over 2.5 goals is pretty lucrative, with odds at 53/50 as they stand.
