Betting on Serie A – Match Day 5

September 19, 2017

And the rich get richer! The top three clubs of Serie A all recorded wins over the weekend with Napoli stealing the spotlight after their six-nil annihilation over newly promoted Benevento. AC Milan bounced back with a significant win over Udinese while Inter, their city rivals, won their fourth match on the trot. Lazio moved up to fourth place with their win on the road to Genoa and Fiorentina turned their dismal start to the campaign around to win two matches in succession.  Serie A betting fans will be delighted not to be waiting another week for the action to ensue, as the upcoming fixtures will be all played on Wednesday.

Bet on Inter

Inter have been looking solid since the start of the season and the new players seem to be adapting perfectly to Luciano Spallettis’ football philosophy. Inter have only conceded one goal so far in the Serie A and that was against Roma’s offensive prowess. The Neroazzuri will travel to Bologna in their quest for the next three points, a team that suffered its second consecutive loss.

Considering Inters’ terrific form, 1.55 is a great price to emerge victorious but a more sensible bet would be to bet on one team to score – choosing ‘no’ from the both teams to score option. Odds are incredibly lucrative for this bet, set at 2.12 for only one team (or none) to score. Bologna only managed to find the net three times this season as opposed to Inters’ 10, which cements the idea of Bologna finding trouble to get a goal. From their four matches played, Inter had two matches end in over 2.5 goals and two matches end in under 2.5 goals. Odds for both these bets are set at 1.64 and 2.25 respectively.

Bet on Juve vs Fiorentina

It was another routine win for the Bianconeri as they put three past Sassuolo to collect all three points. Fiorentina turned their horrible start on its head as they bounced back with back to back wins and are priced at 9.00 to upset the Champions away from home.

Allegri will be looking to get his revenge on La Viola as Fiorentina got the better of Juve the last time these two sides met. Odds for Juve to emerge victorious are priced at 1.36 while both teams to score are set at 1.91. All of Juve’s four games have ended in over 2.5 goals so far this season and odds for that repeating itself on Wednesday night are priced at 1.64. If you’re looking to back Juve but want better odds, consider betting on Juve as odds for them to win with a goal difference of two or more are priced at 1.93.

Juve are without the services of Marchisio, Khedira, De Sciglio and Cuadrado for their upcoming clash.

Bet on Napoli

Napoli are sitting first of the table on the merit of goal average after putting six past Benevento last weekend. The newly promoted side never had a chance with the offensive firepower of Napoli. Now the Neapolitan side will travel to Rome to face Lazio in their biggest test so far, this season. Lazio are unbeaten in their first four games and are looking sharper with each game they play.

Once again, Napoli are the favourites to emerge victorious with odds of 2.00 (evens) while a win for Lazio will potentially return £35.50 from a £10 bet. However, we can’t see Lazio take all the points in this clash. Try double chance on Lazio as odds are attractive as they stand at 1.82 – your bet will be successful if Lazio either win or finish draw. Napoli found the net 15 times this season and are the highest scoring team of the Serie A – making betting on goals all the more exciting.
