Bet on Eindhoven to beat Zwolle in the Eredivisie this weekend as the league leaders seek to continue their excellent early-season title charge.
Eindhoven have led from the off in 2017/18 and football betting fans are slowly siding with them to go all the way in Holland this season.
Ajax are already EIGTH points off Eindhoven in the race for the Dutch title, while defending champions Feyenoord sit a worrying TWELVE points behind, in sixth place.
Zwolle, meanwhile, are the surprise package of Holland this term and are level on points with second-place Ajax.
Zwolle could do Eindhoven’s title rivals a major favour on Sunday if they were to beat the league leaders. But the Unibet betting odds aren’t siding with that outcome…
Bet on Eindhoven
Eindhoven have rampaged to the top of the Eredivisie, with no European football to distract them. Feyenoord and Ajax have both been forced to battle on two fronts and 2016 champions Eindhoven look good for another title.
Eindhoven have won seven games on the bounce and headed into the international break having edged FC Twente 4-3 at home in one of their toughest tests of the season so far.
Indeed, the fact struggling Twente managed to put three past this resolute defence will give Zwolle hope that they can pinch something at home on Sunday.
Eindhoven are 13/20 to beat Zwolle but that result is far from guaranteed. Form and history may be with the league leaders but Zwolle themselves are unbeaten since September and have won all five of their home games this term.
On top of that, Zwolle have not conceded in 396 minutes of football. Forward Youness Mokhtar already boasts five goals for the season and is good to net again. Zwolle are worth backing at 19/5 if you’re chasing good odds this weekend.
Bet on Ajax
Ajax play the day before Eindhoven, against NAC on Saturday. And this should be considered a banker for football betting fans this weekend. Ajax actually lost 2-1 to Utrecht before the international break in a major shock both for Dutch football and also the Lancieri’s title ambitions.
But don’t expect a similar blip on Saturday. NAC have been woeful this season and are winless since September 23. Their form reads LLLDD, and while they’ve picked up two points from their last two games this isn’t an indicator that results are about to improve.
NAC have scored in just one of their last five matches. Ajax to beat them is priced at 7/25.
Bet on Feyenoord
Meanwhile, Feyenoord’s terrible form could continue against VVV on Saturday. Feyenoord are winless in SIX games, having started the season with four wins from five. Their awful run of results has seen them effectively surrender the Dutch title for this season. VVV, meanwhile, are also going through a bad patch (LLLD) after a stellar start to their campaign.
VVV have not scored since a 5-2 home loss to Eindhoven four games ago. A 0-0 draw against NAC highlighted just how bad their current form is, rather than being an indicator that NAC are on the rise. Feyenoord should beat VVV at 7/25 but this match could also be worth backing the draw at 23/5.
